Project Spotlight: Atlanta Architectural Photography – Construction Progress of Junction Krog District

As an Atlanta architectural photographer, I usually take pictures of finished buildings. However, sometimes I am lucky enough to be asked to take progress photos as I was recently of Junction Krog District right off the Atlanta Beltline. I enjoy seeing the buildings during the construction process. It is fascinating to see all the moving parts working together to bring a building life.

For these construction progress photos, I was tasked to obtain some ground images of the site working as well as the tight space that the site sits on. As it is adjacent to the Atlanta Beltline, there is not a lot of space around the construction site.

Additionally, as a FAA licensed drone pilot I took a number of photos and videos of the site from different perspectives.  I love being able to capture drone photos so that someone can see the entire site from above. Also, seeing Atlanta in the background puts into view the location of the site in relation to the rest of the city.

I always enjoy an opportunity to use my drone for clients. Seeing the progress of Junction Krog District from the air definitely made me excited for this addition to Atlanta. It is fun to put my architectural photography skills to use to capture construction progress photos.
