Project Spotlight: Charlotte Interior Design Photography – Photographing Homes in Charlotte for Toll Brothers

As an architectural and interior design photographer in Atlanta, I am often asked to travel to nearby cities to photograph projects there. Whether it be Greenville, Nashville, Raleigh-Durham, I am happy to travel for my clients. Toll Brothers asked me to photograph the model homes at their new Griffith Lakes community in Charlotte, NC. Toll Brothers is known for their gorgeous designs and high-end finishes so I knew I would have a variety of beautiful properties to photograph Over the course of four days, I captured the interiors and exteriors of three single family model homes and one townhome.

My focus for all four properties were the open living spaces, kitchens, and primary bedrooms and bathrooms. When shooting, it quickly becomes apparent the level of attention that goes into the design of the homes. The flow and spacing in Toll Brothers’ homes is just really well thought out. One detail I always appreciate from Toll Brothers’ is that they have multiple different styles of homes so you can pick what works best for you.

For the living spaces in these homes, my goal is to photograph two to three different angles of the space. Some are wider shots that showed how the space fit within the home. Other images are photographed tighter in to give a bit more of an idea of how cozy the living space is as well as show a bit more of the design and details.

Kitchens in Toll Brothers’ homes are perfect for cooking and the one’s at Griffith Lakes in Charlotte were no exception. High end appliances and finishes are trademarks of these kitchens. So while I always want to capture images that show the whole kitchen, I think it is equally important to have some images where I zoom in and you can see the unique finishes of each kitchen.

My favorite part of the Toll Brothers’ homes are the bedroom and bathrooms. Every time I photograph one, I want to completely renovate this part of my own home. I mean, just look at these! Large bedrooms, big showers, closets, and more make these not only great for potential buyers, but they are enjoyable to photograph too.

Toll Brothers properties always wow and so I wanted to work closely with the Toll Brothers’ team on how to capture these four spaces. My goal was to deliver images with a bright, natural light feel so that potential buyers would get a sense of the homes before they even stepped foot inside.
