The Perry Lane Hotel is where to stay in Savannah. It has all the benefits of feeling like a luxury boutique hotel while being a part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. As such, a stay here will earn you Marriott Bonvoy points. The property consists of two buildings on either side of Perry Lane. The rooms in both buildings are similar – a little bit of southern charm and hospitality in a luxury package. While the rooms are nice, it is the rest of the hotel and the sights of Savannah that make this a must visit.
One of the main reasons to stay at the Perry Lane Hotel is the food and drink. With one main restaurant and two cocktail bars, the Perry Lane Hotel has you covered. Because the Perry Lane has a luxury boutique vibe, the restaurant and bars definitely don’t have a hotel feel to them. I had breakfast and dinner at The Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market. The entire menu us fresh and locally sourced and you can definitely taste it. Breakfast was a lot of standard American – and southern – fare. Dinner is a bit upscale but not too formal with everything from oysters, steak frites, to vegetarian dishes.
The rooftop cocktail bar, the Peregrin, is a favorite of guests and locals alike. With comfortable seating, spectacular views, and a full cocktail menu, the Peregrin is a great place to relax before or after dinner. The rooftop pool is adjacent to the bar. It is a bit on the smaller side, but perfect for some daytime lounging.
That might be the best part of a stay at the Perry Lane Hotel as it leads to the questions of – what to do in Savannah. Lots of shopping and wonderful sights are right out your door as the Perry Lane Hotel is just a short two blocks from the main street in Savannah, Olgethorpe Avenue. I enjoyed my stroll down the street poking into shops. One of the things to do in Savannah is enjoy all of the parks. Forsyth Park is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. It is a beautiful place to take in Spanish Moss and fountain. If you have a car, the best place to see Spanish Moss in Savannah is at the Wormsloe Plantation. It is about a 20 minute drive and there is a fee to enter the property. However, the views down the dusty road with Spanish Moss overhanging is quite a site. If you tire of seeing the Spanish Moss, a must do in Savannah is head to the beach. Tybee Island is a short 30 minute drive from the hotel and a wonderful spot to get in a bit of beach-time while on your vacation.

Love Perry Lane!! SO happy that we splurged on our first night in Savannah! We were absolutely spoiled and treated like royalty. The service we received was attentive, courteous and prompt. The room was spacious and comfortable. The house car provided transportation to our dinner reservations. The rooftop bar is great and provides an incredible view of Savannah!
